"When I heard the Pitbull and Prince Royce track with the same lyrics as mine, mixing the Latin flavour with the Dancehall I was shocked. I was saying, a wonder if a tief de man dem tief mi ting". Uttered spanglish.

Jamaican reggae Dancehall artist Spanglish issued a statement that R&B sensations Pit Bull and Prince Royce used his idea on their 2015 track "Back it up".

Spanglish who released a single called "Back it up" on a Cuban reggaeton beat in 2013, said that he was shocked when he heard the track from Pit Bull and Prince.

In 2014 Spanglish recorded a remix of the Latin track "Señorita" done by Dubai based Moroccan rapper Two Tone, Reggaeton Giant Nenge flow from Puerto Rico and Cuban artist Eric Machado.

"When I was recording the track my producer asked me what I think about bringing back the Back It Up flavor in the track." "I was already behind the Microphone so I just recorded it on the go. That was how the idea was created to mix up the genre but i had already done Back it up on Reggaeton Beat. Blasted Spanglish.

"A few days after we sent the track to Two Tone who listened and even though he wanted to master it himself, he said that he played it in the club in Dubai and it had the club banging, real turnt up so we decided to shoot the video".

" About two weeks after we shot some scenes of the video in Suriname to remix it with the original Señorita video. In the mean time Two Tone who was on a caribean tour, had done another remix of the track so they decided to make one massive remix and promote that track globally. Thats when we decided we were gonna go all out so we went to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic to shoot a brand new video for the track. By that time the song was in different hands and everyone was saying this was a mega hit. The Tv personels had it, the radio Djs, had it, We even had a YouTube video when we were performing the song on live TV on a cable program broadcast all over the world from New York to Central America. "

"Something went wrong and they big project got cancelled so I reverted to the original plan." mentioned Spanglish.

"Anytime your song is online it's every where. I would of released the track from earlier this year but the video editor was stalling the project. he was just taking forever to finish the editing. I am still wondering if it's just a coincidence or that they took my idea" Stated spanglish....

Pitt Bull and Prine Royce released a track Also called 'Back it Up "in July thiis year.
