SPANGLISH CALLS FOR UNITY AT THE SUMMER AWARDS 2014

Holding the Surinamese Flag in his right hand and the Microphone in his left, the Jamaican bred SU living artist, asked the Surinamese public to stand together as one behind there nation.. Waving the flag to the Kenny B and Jeffery Spalburg track "Paramaribo" spanglish urged the peoples to wave in the name of love to their nation and be proud to be Surinamese.

Thousands of patrons turned out in a jam packed flamboyant park Monday the 29th of September for the second staging of the Surinamese Summer music Awards.

The screaming party goers in the sold out Flamboyant park was delighted by consistent performances from the top artist in the land.

The organisers, patrons and artists all enjoyed a coloufull and entertainment night. kimmy the Bad chick Walked away with the Summer Talent Award, while Mikel Deira from Aptijt waked away with the Biggie Pokoe Award. Papa Touwtjie the "gone but not forgoten" recieved the Srana Gowtu Awards. Cyril from the More Love Band recieved the peoples choice awards for the second consecutive year to top off the awards of the night.

Spanglish who was nominated in the peoples choices awards for his hit single Love to the Beat graced the stage with his dancing team and fellow jamaican Reggae artist Pysano. " first and foremost I want to give thaks to the most high for life and for taking me so far. I also wanna give a special big up to the organization and to everyone who voted for me. Everyone that supported me physically and spiritually."

The artist went on to congratulate the winning artist. "I wanna congratulate all the artist that participated in the entire event. and ofcourse a special shout out to kimmy, Touwtje, Deira and Cyril for walking away with the prestigious awards. Its just another mile stone on the journey so simple is it. Nuff respect to them and lets keep on working hard an smart.
