The reggae Dancehall artist Spanglish is living up to his social responsability as an public figure and an entertainer by initiating an vibrant Ebola awareness Campaign. Just over two weeks ago spanglish released an sound track titled Mr. Ebola, but the artist hasn't stopped there.
Apart from the smooth sound and sweet melody of the track, the artist managed to touch two of the most asked question about the Ebola Virus. Asking, Mr. Ebola What's the Plan? Mr Ebola tell me where you from?
Since the outbreak of the Ebola virus earlier on this year there have been a whole lot of questions and speculations about the true origin of the virus, Some people including well reknown doctors have challenged the notion that the Ebola Virus has evolved from eating Monkeys and Bats in west Africa. Some others have even gone as far as to say that the Ebola virus is the latest Population control method and this one is aimed especially for Africa.
Two weeks ago R&B singer Chris brown created a twitter controvesy when he tweeted that, "The Ebola virus is a Population control method".
When asked if he thinks that Ebola is a population control scheme Spanglish replied. " If you listen to the lyrics of the track, I begin by asking two basic questions. Mr. Ebola What's your plan, Mr. Ebola tell me where yu from? Really and truely I am not sure where this virus comes from, I really dont want to start speculating but I do have my opinion. One thing i'm sure about is that this is a wicked a wretched disease and it must be stopped now. Everyone needs to unite in true solidarity to fight Mr. Ebola. and when I say everyone I mean everyone. If we just try alittle bit harder we will conqurer this disease.
The artist went on to share his opinion about the approach other celebrities has taken towards Ebola awareness. " A few weeks ago social media was bombarded by the ridiculous Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness and raise money for another disease, but to date I havn't seen 4 % of that effort or finance been invested to combat the Ebola virus" that disgust me, but I am not here to point figures I am here to play my part.
Several other government offices and organisations are well on the ball but I am makinig my contribution how I know to. Download mp3.
